यतो धर्मस्ततो जयः यह भारत के सर्वोच्च न्यायालय का नीति वाक्य है , जिसे महाभारत से लिया गया है। इसका अर्थ है जहां धर्म है वहां विजय है। भारतीय संस्कृति , दर्शन , इतिहास और शास्त्रों में धर्म शब्द का अर्थ और आशय पश्चिम की सेकुलर अवधारणा से पूर्णतः भिन्न है। धर्म शब्द को लेकर अक्सर वाद - विवाद बनाया जाता है। इसका कारण यह होता है कि धर्म शब्द की समझ एवं इसका सही अर्थ समझने में कमी रह गई। इस कारण भारतीय संस्कृति एवं शास्त्रों के भी दूरी बन जाती है। सम्राट अशोक के समय धर्म शब्द को यूनान में eusebeia शब्द से समझ कर इसका अर्थ समझा जो कि नैतिक आचरण तक सीमित था। इस कारण पश्चिम कभी भी भारत में प्रयुक्त शब्द धर्म को सही अर्थ में कभी भी नहीं समझ सका। आधुनिक काल में यही गलती जारी रही और आज धर्म शब्द के लिए पश्चिम में religion शब्द का प्रयोग किया है जो कि अपूर्ण है क्योंकि religion शब्द पंथ एवं सम्प्रदाय तक ही सीमित है। 2500 वर्षो...
