Is Sengol "RAJDAND" secular ?
A beautiful golden carving of ‘Nandi’ atop the ‘Sengol’, will be installed in the new Parliament building to be inaugurated on May 28 2023. Nandi atop the Sengol popularly known as "Rajdand" reminds the first illustration of civilization of India on the page one of the constitution of India duly signed by members of Constituent Assembly on 24 Jan 1950.First illustration is NANDI in the form of the seal of Mohanjodaro It is interesting that while discussing on the terms of republic , secularism Constituent Assembly members referred to Dharam . It is imperative to know the truth behind this term "secularism" in India .Meaning and interpretation was debated in the Assembly on several occasions.
