During making of the Constititon of India ,Constituent Assembly  was motivated by  Adi Shankaracharya while discussing name of our country India, that is Bharat and deciding age qualifications for a person who wants to be a candidate at an election for Parliamnet.   भारत अर्थात इंडिया यही लिखा है भारत के संविधान के प्रथम अनुच्छेद 1 में।   इसके साथ ही अंग्रेजी भाषा   में लिखें संविधान के पहले अनुच्छेद में लिखा है   India, that is Bharat . 24 जनवरी 1950 को संविधान सभा के   माननीय सदस्यों ने हिंदी और अंग्रेजी संविधान पर हस्ताक्षर किए थे।   अतः    स्पष्ट है कि हमारे देश का नाम भारत ही है जिसे अंग्रेजी भाषा में इंडिया के नाम से जाना जाता है।   इसमें किसी प्रकार की शंका नहीं है। संविधान सभा में 4 दिनों तक अनुच्छेद 1 पर चर्चा हुई थी 15 नवंबर , 17 नवंबर 1948 और   17 सितंबर , 18 सितंबर 1949 जिसमें मुख्य मुद्दा था कि 4 नवंबर 1948 को डॉ अंबेडकर द्वारा पेश किए गए प्रारूप संविधान के अनुच्छेद 1 में केवल इंडिया शब्द का प्रयोग किया गया था. भारत का उल्लेख नहीं था।   संविधान सभा में संशोधन के माध्यम से "भारत "को अनुच्छेद   एक में जोड़ा गया। प्रारुप संविधान अंग्रेजी भाषा में ही पेश किया गया था।   हिंदी संविधान के अनुवाद का प्रमाणीकरण डॉ   राजेंद्र प्रसाद जी द्वारा 24 जनवरी 195...

सत्यमेव जयते भारत सरकार एवं भारत के सभी उच्च न्यायालयों का नीति वाक्य है। सत्यमेव जयते का प्रयोग आम जन तक पहुंचाने का श्रेय डॉ . मदन मोहन मालवीय (25 दिसम्बर 1861-12 नवम्बर 1946) को जाता है जिन्हें वर्ष 2015 में भारत रत्न से सम्मानित किया गया। सत्यमेव जयते के सही अर्थ समझने से भारतीय दर्शन में सत्य की खोज की यात्रा के बारे में जानकारी मिलती है। इससे यह भी मालूम पड़ता है कि भारतीय ऋषि , मनिषि , संत , महापुरूष , योगी आदि सभी ने सत्य की खोज को मानव जीवन के चार पुरूषार्थ में से एक पुरूषार्थ माना है। साथ ही साथ सत्य के विभिन्न रूप एवं अभिव्यक्ति को स्वीकार किया है , जिसको एकम् सत  विप्रा बहुधा वदन्ति के रूप में समझा जा सकता है। इसी कारण भारत में सहिष्णुता और विविधता भारतीय संस्कृति का अभिन्न हिस्सा   रही   है। अनेकान्त वाद के सिद्धांत को सत्य की यात्रा में महत्वपूर्ण सेतु माना है। व्यक्ति की चेतना की प्रगति के अनुपात में सत...

Shri H. V. Kamath : I bow to your ruling. I only wish to refer to the Irish Constitution which was adopted twelve years ago. There the construction of the sentence is different from what has been proposed in clause (1) of this article.
