हर साल 25 जून को 'संविधान हत्या दिवस' मनाएगी भारत सरकार ,आपातकाल के बारे में निम्नलिखित बिंदुओं पर भारतीय नागरिक  को चर्चा की जानी चाहिए -  1 न्यायिक समीक्षा और रिट जारी करने के संबंध में सर्वोच्च न्यायालय और उच्च न्यायालय के अधिकार क्षेत्र को कम कर दिया गया। 2. अनुच्छेद 20 (एक व्यक्ति को सरकार की इच्छा और कल्पना के अनुसार एक से अधिक बार दंडित किया जा सकता है, जो दोहरे खतरे के सिद्धांत के विरुद्ध है) और अनुच्छेद 21 (जीवन का अधिकार) द्वारा गारंटीकृत मौलिक अधिकार निलंबित कर दिए गए। 3. प्रकाशन और समाचार पत्रों के लिए मीडिया पर प्रतिबंध (अनुच्छेद 19 भाषण और अभिव्यक्ति की स्वतंत्रता आदि का निलंबन) 4. राष्ट्रपति, उपराष्ट्रपति, प्रधानमंत्री और लोकसभा के अध्यक्ष के चुनाव विवादों का फैसला करने की न्यायालय की शक्ति को समाप्त कर दिया गया 5. लोकसभा (अनुच्छेद 83) और राज्य विधानसभाओं (अनुच्छेद 172) का कार्यकाल 5 से बढ़ाकर 6 वर्ष करना। 6. किसी राज्य में राष्ट्रपति शासन की एक बार की अवधि (अनुच्छेद 356) को 6 महीने से बढ़ाकर 1 वर्ष करना। 7. संसद (अनुच्छेद 100) और राज्य विधानसभाओं (अनुच्छेद 189)
